Green Day is an American punk rock band known for their energetic sound, rebellious lyrics, and iconic albums like Dookie and American Idiot. They helped bring punk into the mainstream in the ’90s and are celebrated for their raw, youthful attitude and unforgettable anthems.
This coffee table book and accompanying vinyl have been designed and crafted as true collector’s items made to be admired, displayed, and treasured by fans.

The black balloon functions as a visual metaphor for fear simple, unfamiliar, and easily misunderstood. Its presence invites speculation and exaggeration, mirroring how uncertainty spreads within a group. The countdown acts as a narrative device to heighten anticipation and anxiety, guiding the reader toward an expected catastrophe that never arrives.
This project helped deepen my understanding of visual pacing, symbolism, and emotional storytelling in comics.
It reinforced how minimal elements, when used intentionally, can create strong narrative impact and guide reader experience.

The Black Balloon is a short narrative comic that explores how fear and assumptions can spread within a community. Set in a quiet town, the story begins with the sudden appearance of black balloons carrying a mysterious countdown. What unfolds is a suspenseful build-up that ultimately subverts expectations, turning anxiety into humor and relief.
